In October last year, Gauff won her first WTA Singles and reached No. Gauff, now 324th, received a wild card into the qualifying draw of the French Open because she won the junior title last year. En route to bowing out of the Australian Open, Gauff last penultimate week looked like the only lioness to devour in that tournament. Before settling down with tennis, Gauff experimented with a variety of sports as a child. She became the No.1 junior in the world after winning the junior Grand Slam singles title over McNally at the 2018 French Open.
